Great product...Great Support

This review is from: Panda Mini Wifi (b/g/n) 150Mbps Wireless-N 2.4GHz USB Adapter - Windows 7, Ubuntu 11, Mint 11 and Fedora 15 Compatible (Electronics)
This USB WiFi adapter is great! It's a very cost efficient way of giving WiFi capabilities to desktop Macs. I'm also very impressed with the seller, Panther Networks. Within minutes of ordering I had received an email from them thanking me for the order and outlining my support options. The unit was shipped last Saturday and arrived on Monday! Wow! It didn't work out of the box because of incompatibilities with the included software. However, Panther Networks were extremely supportive and sent me different driver software to try. Everything works great now. I can connect to my home router and also to ad hoc networks. Highly recommended.

So-so

This review is from: Panda Mini Wifi (b/g/n) 150Mbps Wireless-N 2.4GHz USB Adapter - Windows 7, Ubuntu 11, Mint 11 and Fedora 15 Compatible (Electronics)
I'm using this OS X Snow Leopard. I am unable to get this product to connect to my 802.11n Airport base station any faster than 54mbps. Also, the include software is horrible. It crashes quite a bit and is very unintuitive. The biggest problem though, is that it does not maintain a connection unless you are logged in, so you won't be able to use any of your computer's remote services until a user account is logged in.

Auto-installed just fine.

I simply plugged the device and the driver loaded automatically. I never used the CD. Hooked me right up in no time. So far, so good.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

I does the job very well. Easy installation, you dont really need the drivers disk since windows will recognize it. Very good price for this piece.

Works in Ubuntu 11.04 and cheap price too
I run ubuntu 11.04 and recently had to give up my wired network connection. Finding and configuring a fast wireless adapter has been a hassle. NGIS wrapper was buggy at best.

So easy, but also so weak

This thing simply works, but has a very poor antenna.

On Windows 7, it is absolutely plug-and-play.

Great product
I wasn't sure how good this product would be given the cheap price, but it works very well with my Netgear WNDR3700 dual band router.
