The house I had just moved into had a wireless router already, but it was using WPA encryption, with a pre-shared key (PSK). I of course could not connect with my laptop. Enter this wonderful zyxel adapter. I purchased it because it was usb, and because of the handy extension and usb stick design. Now, after building my desktop I have it plugged into the back of my desktop with the extension. If I want to use my laptop, I simply disconnect the stick from the stand and plug it into my laptop. It couldn't be easier. As far as the software goes, I don't see anything particularly wrong with the included software. It's not fancy, but it works. The windows wireless manager also works.
